Chapter 9

Ein chewed the cold rabbit meat carefully and slowly. He knew there was not that much to go around, no matter what the others said or how much they offered him. He wanted to be sure everyone got their fair share. The slower he chewed, the more there would be for everyone. Still, he eagerly took the piece of flatbread that Radulfr handed him and ate it.

Ein was a little surprised by how accepted he felt by the larger warriors. They included him in conversation and never once made him feel like he was less than them because he wasn’t a warrior.

He leaned back farther into the apex of Radulfr’s thighs and smiled as he listened to Haakon tell some tall tale of bravery and courage in battle. It was a fascinating tale that held Ein’s interest until he felt Radulfr’s arms close around him, and then Ein forgot all about what Haakon was saying.

Ein sat on the ground between Radulfr’s legs. Radulfr sat on a log behind him. Ein glanced up curiously when Radulfr slid down and rested against the fallen log. When Radulfr pulled back on his shoulders, Ein leaned back against him.

Ein’s eyes widened when Radulfr draped his heavy fur cloak over the both of them. He quickly dropped his eyes so no one could see his shock when Radulfr’s hands began to roam over his chest. He leaned his head back against Radulfr’s chest and tilted his head up.

“What are you doing?” he murmured.

“Enjoying the gift the gods have given me, what else?”

“We’re not alone.”

“We’re under my cloak. As long as you don’t make any noises, they will never know.”

Ein wondered how in the hell he was supposed to keep quiet when Radulfr’s hands were pushing under his shirt and moving along his sensitive skin. It would be nearly impossible. It felt too good.

“Radulfr,” Ein moaned.

Radulfr’s hands had moved up Ein’s chest to play with his nipples. It was incredibly hot. Ein could feel his cock hardening until he ached. His head pressed back against Radulfr harder and harder as his nipples were tugged, twisted, and made to throb.

“You are so responsive, kisa.”

Ein inhaled swiftly when Radulfr’s hands started moving down his chest. Every little stroke of the man’s fingers felt so good against his skin. He felt like his entire body was wired directly to Radulfr.

Ein had no idea when he talked to his grandfaðir that he would find such pleasure in Radulfr’s arms. Each touch was magical. Ein felt like Radulfr was his gift from the gods, not the other way around.

When Radulfr’s hands started to untie his pants, Ein’s gaze flew to the other men sitting around the small camp. He breathed a sigh of relief when no one seemed to be looking at them or even paying them any attention. Conversation was going on like something earth-shattering wasn’t happening just a few feet away.

“Radulfr, we can’t,” Ein whispered even as spread his legs. He could have no more prevented himself from moving up into Radulfr’s firm touch than he could have stopped breathing.
